Film Recommendations

So good and Lily Cole's in it so even better. So many big stars in one films and it's like Heath Ledgers last film, he didn't even get a chance to finish filming it so in pops Johnny Depp, Jude Law and others to finish it.

This is one of the best horror films I have ever seen and I've seen a lot. Such a complex storyline and a perfect mix of gore and suspense. I was impressed.

Current work

So now the boring essay writing is out of the way for now my work load is a better can mix it up and get some editing in as well as some paperwork.

So currently I'm working on a couple of videos for Double Denim (DDLTV2013 on YouTube) one acoustic set and one promo video.

Here's a little preview:

Quite excited for the outcome of these got a long way to go yet with them but hopefully they're going to look great. Always hate the lighting in these places never fit for filming. The back lighting definitely works better for lighting the musicians, a few places I've filmed have front lighting but won't put it on their faces so the camera can't pick it up. The back lighting highlights most areas besides the one's not directly in the light.

Some lighting adjustments to be made and then just getting it together into a cool little video. Or a long video for the acoustic set but got to keep it interesting. Usually i don't like editing but I am looking forward to it, been a while since I've done any practical so it'll be nice to look at it with a fresh mind.

Guillermo del Toro Survey

So as part of one of my assignments I have to conduct a piece of research on my chosen area/film/film maker. I've chosen Auteur theory and Guillermo del Toro. I will be looking specifically at Pan's Labyrinth so if anyone has good knowledge on this subject please do my survey it would be a huge help and I'd really appreciate it.
